It’s Saturday morning, the sun is shining, I’ve been food shopping, walked the dog and done a load of domestic chores around the house, (well is a hap-hazard kind of way) and I CAN’T sit still. This is a little bit difficult as I have strained/sprained my foot for the second time in two weeks which leads me to the conclusion that I should avoid doing domestic chores at all costs. (It’s my left foot not the one that’s perfectly fine in the picture…)
I’ve just sorted out meals for the parents for the rest of the day and am currently planning the menu for tomorrow. Not only is it Mothering Sunday, it’s also my seventh wedding Anniversary which the almighty GOOGLE informs me is both copper and wool. I won’t have the luxury of a day off cooking so I’ve decided to make something really special and I’m sure there will be that added ingredient of fizz in my glass while cooking in the morning.
As I go about these normal activities I can’t help but think about how excited I am for what’s going to happen next week. OK, so Tuesday is my Birthday and I am having lunch with some really adorable girlfriends but also a project I have been involved in is officially launching! It’s like I’m in a kind of limbo land at the moment, but rather than wishing the days or sleeps away I have some really lovely stuff happening in between.
I am not afraid of and nor am I a stranger to change. I feel that when change is needed, it’s the only way to move forward and obtain different results. Which is why I believe that the change my own life is about to experience will be positive for so many other people here in the UK.
It’s all very well ranting and raving in the ‘safety’ of your own social circles but to be able to put across your opinion and KNOW that it will be taken into account is something this county is unfortunately not accustomed to. We all deserve to have a voice and we all deserve to have that voice listened to. So roll on next week…when things might just start to get shaken up a little bit!
