Since I have dedicated a lot of time to developing vegan and vegetarian recipes I have noticed that people shy away as though anything VEGAN couldn’t possibly go in their chops. It’s as though they may catch veganism. Thankfully there are enough sensible people out there who realise that even eating an APPLE means you are eating something considered VEGAN.
This vegan deli board was made for a photo shoot for an article in Kent Life Magazine, (March 2019) and was devoured by meat eaters after the shoot. I really enjoy playing around with food and I work on a taste, texture then visual model. Sometimes things work, and sometimes they don’t.
What’s on it…?
- Home baked vegan bread
- Spicy ‘Deli slices’
- Pea and garlic dip
- Chilli and garlic tomato dip
- Jackfruit Nachos
- Apple and Sage Sausages
So this boring vegan deli board that was devoured by meat eaters shows that good food can exist…and like this platter for example, ‘just happens to contain no meat’!
